Every year, as we move closer to the holidays, it’s true meaning seems to drift further away. It makes me sad to watch as people scurry about in a hurried frame of mind and gives no thought to what this time of year really means. I watch families grow up and move on to begin families of their own, without carrying with them a most important ingredient that could make all the difference in their lives.
With each present we buy and wrap, with each swipe of the credit cards, and each party we attend, how many of us are actually thinking of the birth of Christ? I have to admit I’m as guilty as the next when it comes to my own family. My daughter knows a little of the true meaning of Christmas. I’m not so certain about my grand daughters.
I’m writing about God’s love. He sent his son as a gift to the entire world.
Our family and friends must be cared for, as they are a part of God’s Deliberate Creation. It’s our duty to pass on the true meaning of this holiday so that they, too, may continue the tradition and pass it on to others. Christmas is about the greatest gift in the entire world.
Jesus, the gift of Love.
